Michael Mueller Pitched firmly at the heavy, doomy end of the post-rock spectrum, this is a menacing yet meditative beast of an album.

The is playing superb, with the bass in particular being a real standout. Deep, dark and thunderous, it carrying the rest of the music like an aural tsunami. Poised without ever being ponderous, there are enough twists and turns in the songs to keep you fully engaged.

If this album is a sandwich, it's the kind Elvis ate just before he carked it.

Chew down and carb up. Favorite track: Horseshoe.

Sumoschro Swirling, heavy songs with long, evolving structures and passages. Beautifully layered like, well, a sandwich... Favorite track: Choripán.
